| The global principles of organic agriculture were designed to represent the overarching values of organic groups around the world. Similarly, basic organic standards were intended to provide a common language for cross-cultural agreement on the production of organic products. In practice, however, the widespread promotion of organic export trade has created a situation whereby organic agriculture continues to be perceived by many in the development sector as a western, industrialised concept and one which is not compatible with the realities of many of the exporter, less-industrialised countries. Im Rahmen des Projektes wurde ein EDV-technisches Verfahren umgesetzt, das webbasiert wichtige Kenndaten der kontrollunterworfenen Unternehmen in einer zentralen Datenbank zusammenführt. As well as defining the required method of production of crops and livestock they also regulate labelling, processing, marketing, import and inspection. | Gray mold, caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea, is one of the most common and serious diseases affecting strawberries. Different fungicides are used to manage this disease but fungi can develop resistance on it. Therefore, much attention is devoted to biological methods of control in recent years. Preparation Prestop® MIX (Verdera Oy, Finland) is available in some European countries. It contains a biocontrol agent (BCA), isolate J1446 of the fungus Gliocladium catenulatum, active against grey mold. | Während lange Zeit Bioprodukte ausschliesslich über Dirketvermarktung, Reform- und Naturkostläden abgesetzt wurden, findet ihre Vermarktung seit Mitte der 90'er Jahre zunehmend in Supermärkten statt. Heute gibt es kaum noch Handelsketten in Europa, die keine Bioprodukte verkauft.
